In This Body - Spring 2023 Group Dates Announced
Welcome to our online embodiment process group that we have named In This Body.
Because it is in this body that we exist, in this body we play, move, laugh, cry and dance. In this body, and with this body, we connect to ourselves and to others.
Our bodies are calling us back, whether with a gentle whisper or a more urgent plea.
We invite you to listen, and we will listen alongside you.
Our focus is to explore our relationship with our bodies and food, and to begin planting seeds of healing. Away from diet culture, beauty standards and other things that get in the way of embodiment and joy.
Follow the link to our website to learn more and register.
Please note this group is only open to residents of Washington state.
You may be a good fit for this group if some/all of these apply to you:
• You have struggled/continue to struggle with body shame and feeling distanced from your body, its wants, desires and sensations.
• You are not sure how to listen to or trust your body.
• You want to heal your relationship to your body, food, movement, etc.
• You are ready to divest from diet culture and begin exploring a new way of relating to your body, food and the world.
• You are curious about the stories your body holds, how you learned what you learn, why you think what you think.
• You have the desire to begin the slow unpacking process of what it means to have a body in a world obsessed with thinness.
• You are willing to try something new that may stretch your comfort zone.
• You are wanting community and to feel like you are not alone in how you feel.
