Meet Yuliya

“If your wounds are still open, trust they are doors to an answer, and walk through.”

My emotions are doors opened by my willingness to feel them. You can feel sad without chaining yourself to sadness. You can feel fear without believing fear is the truth.”

— Andrea Gibson

Nice to meet you.

Hi, I am Yuliya Rae (they/them)

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA) who works with folks on healing through story, relationship and embodiment.

When working with clients, I come from a gentle, compassionate place to invite you into self-exploration, self-reflection and self-kindness. My belief is the body holds a lot of answers to the questions we are asking, which is why I encourage clients into slowing down and listening for answers.

My clinical focus and areas of interest are:

Social justice is very important to me and my work, and as I continue my own learning, I encourage my clients to fully bring their many intersections of identity to therapy, inviting race, culture, sexual orientation, gender, ability, neurotype and body size to be named and explored.

I am Ukrainian, non-binary, neurodivergent and queer-identified practitioner. I hold a lot of white, straight-passing, able-bodied, thin and small fat privilege and work to be mindful of it in my therapeutic practice. I am also a Certified Body Trust® Provider.

In my spare time, I can be found reading a good fantasy book, playing a video game, watching anime or taking care of my many plants.
